Charlie Brown's Obituary
Charlie Brown was born to James Brown, Sr., and Isabelle Ross on August 29, 1951, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. After the death of his mother, Charlie was raised by his great aunt Amanda Collins. He attended Jackson Public Schools.
Charlie worked various jobs but found his true passion working with the elderly. He really found pleasure and dedication in helping others.
In his spare time, Charlie enjoyed putting together model cars and boats. However, he was also a superb artist who could draw anything. One of his amazing pieces was a mural in his apartment that imaged a train station. In later years, his enjoyment was sitting on his porch visiting with neighbors and friends.
Charlie is preceded in death by his parents, James and Isabelle Ross Brown; grandmother, Amanda Vaughan (affectionally known as Chippy); grandfather, Mack Brown, Sr. and his wife Dotsie; great aunt, Amanda Collins; uncle, Mack Brown, Jr., and wife Minnie; siblings, Mamie Brown (aka Micky), James Brown, Jr., Ella Nelson, Jennifer McCoy, Leroy Brown, and Dewitt Brown.
Charlie leaves to cherish his memories: a loving and devoted wife, Lucinda Brown; son, Jerry Brown; sister, Annie Rivera of Stockton, California; brother, Karl brown (Chris) of Maryland; stepchildren, Valerie Mineweather, Greg Webb, Roland Webb, Sparina Williams, Deontynee Brown (Elizabeth), Kamellia Benson (Alexander), and Daniel Brown; twelve grandchildren, Daneka Jordan (BJ), Jonette Black (Jimmy), Nicholas Ratliff, DaKajah Brown, Ashton Brown, Sabrina James, Deontynee Brown, Jr., Marcellus James, Arbrey Brown, and Alexander Cameron Benson; and a host of nieces nephews, other relatives and friends.
