Eloise L. Houston's Obituary
Eloise Houston better known as "Ella" was born on July 15, 1941, in Madison, Mississippi to Nace and Malissa Bennett Luckett. Ella had four brothers and four sisters, which seven preceded her in death.
Eloise accepted Christ at an early age.
She attended Holy Ghost Catholic School in Jackson, Mississippi.
Ella worked at Head Start for many years, retired, and then continued her nurturing love for children. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother. The wife to the late Ben Houston, Sr. With this union, nine children were born, in which two preceded her in death; her son Gregory Houston and daughter Joy Houston.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her children Willie Luckett, Ben Houston, Jr. (Lisa), Mary Evans, Andrea Houston (Renee), Lewis Houston, Dorothea Houston (Richard), and Connie Houston (Johney), one surviving twin sister Pearlee Thomas, and her bonus daughters Jami Miller and Carla Alexandra. She also leaves to cherish two sister-in-laws Lula Bell Luckett and Edwina Harden and one brother-in-law Vernell Rivera. She had a host of grand-children, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends who loved her dearly.
