Dr. Gardner,

I am an educator, in part, because of you. You taught me that there is no shame in wanting to learn and that curiosity is something to be nurtured, not hidden.

Please know that every time I step into a classroom, your influence continues to reach another generation. Through me, you are still sharing your wisdom with students who may never know your name but are benefiting from the lessons you passed on.

You planted a tree, just as a gardener should. I am honored to be one of the branches.

Sending my condolences to the family and friends. Dr. Gardner was my 5th grade teacher in 2005-2006 school year at Davis Magnet now called Barack Obama School. She is the reason why I am a teacher today.
