Mrs. Katie Mae Trotter transitioned on Sunday, March 30, 2025, at home surrounded by family. She was born on March 4, 1963, in Butler, Alabama, and lived in Jackson, Mississippi for most of her adult life.
Katie, a graduate of Choctaw County High School in Butler, AL. and Belhaven University in Jackson, MS. She was employed with the Butler Snow Law Firm in Ridgeland, MS., until her health began to fail.
She loved spending time in her flower garden, planting and nurturing her beautiful roses which were her favorite. She was a faithful, long-time member of the Redeemer Church.
Katie was preceded in death by her mother, Bernice Ethridge, and sister; Lesteen Ethridge.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her sons; Terrance (Beatrice) Ethridge and Jeremy Baylor daughter; Kaitlin Trotter all of Jackson, MS., brothers; Charlie (Emma) Ruffin, Decatur, MS., Bruce Ethridge. Butler, AL. and Paul Ethridge, Mobile, AL., sisters; Mary (Jonathan) Barnes, Atmore, AL. and Lisa Ethridge, Butler, AL.
A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A devoted friend, Jackie Jackson.
