Loraine Aldridge's Obituary
Our Father which art in heaven, thank you for your grace and mercy. Loraine Aldridge was a beautiful person who loved the Lord, a mother, a grandmother (Big Ma), a great grandmother. a sister and an aunt. She was born in Flora, MS on November 14. 1946, to Sylvia Myles Aldridge and Clifton Aldridge. Sr. (both deceased). As a young child she became a member of Wilson Grove Church in Flora, MS. Preceding her in death were three brothers: Eddie, Willie, and Robert: and two sisters: Ora Mae Hollins and Charlene Washington.
Later in life she moved to Jackson, MS where she worked at Delphi Packard General Motors for thirty-five years. She became a member of Zion Travelers in the early 1990's. At Zion Travelers she was an active Mother and for two of those years she was a ZT Board member. She was always willing to prepare her famous chicken tetrazzini whenever asked. In spite of her illness. she remained faithful to her church.
Left to lovingly cherish her memory are two brothers; Clifton Aldridge. Jr. and Hosea Aldridge (Denver, CO): and two sisters: Mary Cherry (Houston, TX) and Sylvia Aldridge: her three children: Helen Aldridge. Shonda Aldridge Terrell (Brian), and Alexander “Bubba” Aldridge (Angelique) all of Jackson; twelve grandchildren: Anzores. Ebony, Sylvia Wilkerson (Wallace), Clifton, Brishard, Elicia James, Jayla Grayer, Alexander Jr. (AJ). Azsra, Azyan, America, Deshanti Sutton; and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews whom she loved dearly.
To First Lady Carolyn Watkins, Ms. Nathine Blackmon, Mrs. Joann Funchess, Evangelist Emma Marshall, and Mrs. Eva Jones, you touched our mother in a special way. She loved you dearly and because of that you are a part of our family left to mourn and cherish our mother's memory.
