Plas McAdory Jr.'s Obituary
Plas McAdory, Jr. was born on September 27, 1945, and passed away on January 27, 2026, in Jackson, Mississippi, the place he proudly called home.
Plas was preceded in death by his parents, Plas McAdory, Sr. and Mary Williams McAdory.
Plas worked for more than twenty years at General Motors (Packard Electric) in Clinton, Mississippi, in the plant layout department, where he was known as dependable, knowledgeable, and hardworking.
He was baptized at an early age at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Plas graduated from Thomastown High School, earned an associate's degree from Coahoma Community College, and later attended Alcorn State University.
He leaves to cherish his memory his children: Plas Dejuan McAdory (Gabriele), Mari Jamel McAdory (LaShun), and Keneetra Joanae' Williams (Eric); bonus daughter: Lucretia Speech; his beloved grandchildren: Kyla Williams, Amari McAdory, Chelsey Washington, Brooke Williams, Matthew McAdory, and Braylee Williams; and his great-grandchildren: Kayleigh Daniels and Kennedi Williams. He is also survived by his sisters: Lillian Catchings, Helen Warner, Juanita Norwood, and Bobbie Jean Irving (Charles), along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who were blessed to know and love him.
Plas loved life and lived it authentically. He spoke his mind, kept it real, and had a way of making people laugh without even trying - especially at the ballpark, where his commentary was often as entertaining as the game itself. He loved playing golf, watching sports, and was one of his grandchildren's biggest supporters, rarely missing a game or activity if he could help it.
More than anything, Plas loved his family and his friends. he valued time together, good conversations, laughter, and being present for the people he cared about. His humor, and unmistakable personality will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
Plas McAdory, Jr. leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and family one that will live on through every story told, every game attended, and every memory shared.
