Robert James Brown Sr.'s Obituary
On August 8, 1949, Robert James Brown was born to Fate Brown Sr. and Lela Mae Brown. He was one of twelve siblings. He accepted Christ in his life and served Him in Spirit and Truth.
Robert served in the United States Army from June 20th, 1969 - June 19th, 1975, and went to Hinds Community College where he received, his associates degree. He was a devoted husband to Ether Mary Brown which gave birth to two children.
Over several years he would enter the workforce and spend majority of it at Fowler Buick GMC as a painter.
He was a devoted member of St. Peter M.B. Church, where he participated in Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and other ministries. He spent his spare time working on antique trucks and fishing, which he loved the most.
It was Thursday February 26, 2026, when the Lord called him home. He is proceeded in death by his wife Ethel, both parents, (siblings) Minnie, Fate Jr, Herman, Ronald, Donald & Ivory. At 76 years old, Robert lived to see a host of grandchildren and great grandson before entering eternal rest. Our love and memories of him will remain forever.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories: his sons, Robert Jerome Brown (Wife Terri) of Jackson, MS, and Eric Brown (Wife Lawanda) of Lewisburg, MS; 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; siblings Shirley Lewis, Jackie Thompson, Teresa Kennedy-Morris, Felice and Anthony Brown; and a host of nieces, nephews, close relatives, and family friends.
