This will forever be one of my favorite memories.
This Thanksgiving weekend,I was intentional about creating connection for the younger generation especially my grandson, Xavier. I had him come to the table and spend a little time and repeat his grand-uncle’s name several times, making sure he connected the name to the face. Everyone followed up with conversation, speaking directly to him, Uncle Charles pouring into that moment.
I truly believe it will be a lasting memory for him. Uncle Charles left a memorable mark on his heart
When he heard the news, he understood. His reaction was compassionate and tender. He quietly said, “I never thought that would be my last time seeing him.”
